This is Keagan. He is expected to be born in about 5 weeks. As you can see, apparently he could not wait. There is a story there of coincidences and amazing timing, and a flight from Ottawa: but the end of the story (so far) is the picture you see here.
I was privileged to be able to go down to the hospital and meet the new guy last night. It was an interesting experience. I got a few pictures. For some reason the rule is that only two people are allowed to be with a baby at the same time. So when Sheryl (mommy) arrived, Richard (daddy) went to hang out in the waiting room. So I got a few more pictures. We broke the rules a bit to get this nice picture of the whole family. It was all worth it, wasn't it?
Keagan appears to be doing extremely well, and is being wonderfully cared for. In just another week or so, he'll be completing his long trip home... it may have taken him a little longer than he might have thought when he started out, but he'll still be many weeks earlier than expected. Go, Keagan! "
