Istra's Face

Istra's been having a rough week. Or, at least, her face has. Literally.

The morning after getting back from being away, north, for Thanksgiving weekend, she awoke with a few rashes on her face, and enough puffiness that her right eye looked quite droopy. She had no other symptoms except it itched. It seemed like it must be some sort of alergic reaction. Maybe a light case of poison ivy, even? We have no idea how or where she might have picked this up, whatever it is. She's not alergic to anything we know of, and it's hard to imagine how she'd get poison ivy on her face and nowhere else.

We've been giving her some children's Benadryl and Motrin to deal with the swelling and itch, as well as putting cream on her face at night. It seems, slowly, to be getting better. Slowly.
