Stopping for dinner... (on the beach, where else?)

Having parted with the relatives relatively early, and experiencing the rare phenomenon of having a car all to ourselves, we decided to take a detour on the way home from up north....


have a picnic for dinner... and take Emie for a walk in a vast expanse of water.

Yes, we actually bought cheap towels to dine on, yet more plastic shovels for Istra, and everything! We hadn't planned this so we had nothing with us for the occasion. But of course that became all a part of the fun.

Oh, I think Istra may not have had too bad a time either....
